KPS FIRST LEGO LEAGUE EXPLORE
FIRST LEGO League Explore gives early elementary school students and their adult coaches the opportunity to work and create together while they explore science and technology concepts.
The Program
Teams consist of up to six students in grades K–3 from Kentwood Public Schools elementary schools, led by parent and/or teacher coaches meeting once weekly after school.
Season Event
Teams participate in one end-of-season Festival in November to demonstrate their builds and code, hosted by Red Storm Robotics on a Saturday.
See the Hosted Events page for the next Kentwood FLL Explore Festival date.
FLL Explore Lesson Plans — Free to Use
Red Storm Robotics FRC Team 3875 has created (and tested) a custom FLLE Lesson Plan for the FIRST Unearthed season. The lesson plans feature:
- Games / movement incorporated into every lesson
- A restructured flow — build & program the tutorial model, then go right into Unearthed elements instead of having a multi-meeting gap
- A shorter 8-meeting series of lessons to get your team to their season Festival
- A list of supplies needed for each step of your lesson
Please feel free to download the Lesson Plans and use them as you will. We welcome feedback at trista.vandervoord@redstormrobotics.com.
